Proverbs 13:6-8

⁶ Righteousness ^(A)guards the ^[a]one whose way is blameless,
But wickedness subverts the ^[b]sinner.
⁷ There is one who ^(B)pretends to be rich, but has nothing;
Another ^[c]pretends to be ^(C)poor, but has great wealth.
⁸ The ransom of a man’s life is his wealth,
But the poor hears no rebuke.
